Example pieces created by me (some from my first pottery class) all started as a ball of clay!

Classes will be 1-1 or 1-2 ensuring you have plenty of personal guidance and tailored support throughout the 2.5 hour class.

I will demonstrate techniques and have examples to show that will help you create your own designs.

Starting with a ball of clay you will learn pinching, coiling and texture techniques.

Followed by slab techniques - rolling, preparing, decorating with slips, underglaze, moulding and shaping.

Glazing - types of glaze and application methods to achieve your desired look.

The possibilities of what you can create with clay are endless. From practical items to use everyday, decorative sculptures, vases, jewellery and unique items for special occasions. I am happy to discuss and plan tailored sessions if you have a project in mind.
